How to install xLights on Linux
- The simplest (and preferred) way to install xLights on linux is use the AppImage packages found at https://github.com/smeighan/xLights/releases
- To use download the AppImage file, set it as executable and run it.
- It will prompt to add to your launcher etc automatically
- This works on almost any modern linux (including fedora, ubuntu, debian, arch and more)
- Appimage can only provide a single binary and so access to other tools are via command line options
- xSchedule by using -x option
- xFade by using -f option
- xCapture by using -c option
